Daniel P. Cauley
Dan practices insurance defense with a concentration in workers’ compensation. He vigorously defends employers, insurers, and third-party administrators throughout all stages of litigation. Although he now focuses on workers’ compensation defense, Dan’s experience also extends to the defense of employers and insurers in actions involving medical malpractice, premise liability, and product liability.
Dan strives to fulfill his clients’ needs with timely advice and high-quality legal services to facilitate positive and efficient results. While advocating on behalf of his clients, he has obtained countless favorable settlements, defended and prosecuted hundreds of lay and expert witness depositions, and has won numerous trials at the Trial Division of the State Board of Workers’ Compensation. Dan has also successfully argued before the Appellate Division of the State Board of Workers’ Compensation, Georgia Court of Appeals, and District Court of Appeals in Florida.
Beyond his litigation experience, Dan spends his professional time writing and teaching various subjects involving the recent legal developments concerning workers’ compensation in Georgia. In addition to leading the discussion at conferences or seminars, he is also the co-author of a yearly publication entitled, “Georgia Doctor and Panel Survival Guide,” which assists insurance adjusters with limiting medical exposure and navigating through the complexities of the law. Dan is always willing to provide informed advice to help employers and insurers develop an effective defense strategy and positive result.
