Jennifer Swan

Qualifications

Jennifer spent ten years in the US Navy as a nuclear trained mechanic in the Naval Nuclear Power Program. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Excelsior College in 2015, her Master of Business Administration from Saint Leo University in 2017, and her law degree from Barry University in 2019. While in law school, Jennifer interned as a Certified Legal Intern with the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel.  She  began her legal career as an Assistant Regional Counsel and held dockets in Seminole, Sumter, and Lake counties regularly, and was often coverage counsel in Orange and Volusia counties supporting her coworkers.  In her time there, she handled hundreds of cases ranging from felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile delinquency in criminal matters, as well as dependencies, Marchman Act cases, Baker Act cases, and guardianship cases in civil court.  Jennifer is licensed to practice law in Florida and now focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense.
