Emilie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, her Master of Science in Conflict Management in 2013 from Kennesaw State University, and her law degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2018.
While in law school, Emilie served as a staff member of the South Dakota Law Review and also served as Copy Editor. The article she co-wrote, South Dakota’s Data-Drive, Evidence-Based Juvenile Justice Reform, was published.
Emilie worked extensively in the field of juvenile justice prior to attending law school. As an attorney, she previously practiced personal injury and family law. She now concentrates her practice on the defense of workers’ compensation claims in the firm’s Atlanta office.
