Marquis Leary

Qualifications

Marquis graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Law in December of 2021, cum laude. During his time at the University of Georgia, he interned at the Western Circuit Public Defenders office in Athens, Georgia, providing legal resources to the underprivileged members of the community. Following his time at the University of Georgia, Marquis began law school at the Georgia State University College of Law and graduated in May of 2025. Following his first year of law school, Marquis interned at a local family law firm and was nominated as an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Scholar. Marquis also worked as a research assistant for the school and was published as an assistant on a Constitutional Law book on the history of federalism in the South following the Civil War, and served as the Treasurer for Georgia State’s Student Bar Association chapter. Following his second year at Georgia State, Marquis interned at a personal injury law firm in the greater Atlanta area, and was nominated as a Bleckley Inn of Court Pupil. Marquis focuses his practice on workers’ compensation defense in the Atlanta office.
