Allen Grant

Qualifications

Allen received his Bachelor’s degree with honors from Middle Tennessee State University and his law degree from the University of Memphis.  A member of the Tennessee Bar, he is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.  Following law school, Allen served in Nashville as an Assistant District Attorney General specializing in vehicular crimes, and since that time has dedicated his practice to the defense of workers’ compensation claims.  He also handles subrogation issues and other workers compensation related labor and employment matters.  Allen serves as the managing attorney for the firm’s Nashville office.  He frequently conducts educational seminars for employers, insurers, and TPA’s on the various aspects of Tennessee Workers’ Compensation Law, limiting claim exposure, and claims handling best practices.  Allen regularly handles cases in every office of the Bureau of Workers Compensation throughout the state. Additionally, he has handled cases before the Tennessee Supreme Court Workers’ Compensation Panel, notably Patterson v. Prime Package & Label, in which the Tennessee Supreme Court found the then-new Tennessee pain management laws in favor of the Employer/Insurer. An experienced litigator, Allen has participated in numerous jury trials and hundreds of hearings and mediations.
