Qualifications

JoVanne received her Bachelor’s degree in political science from Sam Houston State University in 2014 and her law degree from Atlanta John Marshall School of Law in 2019. While in law school, JoVanne placed first in the 2018 Regional Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition. She was a member of the Black Law Students Association, Phi Alpha Delta, and Co-Chair of the Moot Court Society. JoVanne had the opportunity to clerk for the Honorable Judge Thompson of Fayette County State Court, where she gained valuable experience in the processes and procedures of trial. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and focuses her practice in the defense of workers’ compensation claims in the firm’s Georgia office.
