Richard R. Clark, Jr.

Richard has built a significant and diverse legal practice in the state of Tennessee. He has tried numerous bench and administrative cases throughout the state, with an emphasis on workers’ compensation defense and general liability defense.

Richard joined the Nashville office of Eraclides, Gelman, Hall, Indek, Goodman and Waters in an of-counsel capacity in 2016. He began his legal career in 2009 working as an associate attorney for his mentor and dear friend, the late J. Michael Morgan. In 2012, he  became a partner in Mr. Morgan’s firm, which specialized in civil litigation and insurance defense.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Richard served as a Sergeant and later as a Captain with the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC.  Upon completion of law school and his military duties, he worked for two years as a workers’ compensation specialist with the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development, where he gained invaluable experience mediating workers’ compensation Benefit Review Conferences and also operating in an administrative law judge capacity on temporary benefit disputes.

Richard is well-known throughout the state of Tennessee legal community. He has been the featured speaker at numerous seminars on workers’ compensation insurance in the Southeast and appears frequently before the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance and the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development.  Richard has represented insurance companies, third party administrators, self-insured employers, and national retail chains.
