The State Board has provided some clarification about the new nurse case management Board Rule. According to the governing authorities, when scheduling a conference with a treating doctor the case manager is to provide 10 days notice to the Claimant and opposing counsel prior to the meeting. Then the Claimant and/or her attorney can attend the in-person conference. If it is written communication to a doctor the case manager is required to copy the Claimant and opposing counsel on all correspondence to the doctors.
